We follow a holistic, multi-dimensional approach to care that goes beyond mere physical care and medical interventions.
Our multi-dimensional approach also includes diverse recreational programs, fun events, and stimulating activities that foster hope, facilitate social interaction, and provide opportunities for meaningful engagement, enhancing the quality of life and well-being of our residents.
Groenkloof has developed a distinctive care model that encompasses three different care environments: Houses, Assisted Living Apartments, and Frail Care.
We understand that residents have varying care needs and preferences which is why we offer a range of options to accommodate those needs. Our care options include daycare, short-term, transitional, and long-term care. Long-term home base care caters to individuals requiring permanent care beyond the five weeks of short-term care service. Within this category, residents and their families have the choice of five long-term home base care options, including the option to engage a self-appointed or Groenkloof carer.
Transitional care is designed for residents who require a higher level of care but are still in the process of arranging long-term care. Transitional care ensures that residents receive the necessary support while working toward their long-term care arrangements.
Upon moving into Groenkloof, every household is equipped with a panic button for medical emergencies. In the event of an emergency, residents have access to a 24/7 emergency response service. Nursing staff carefully assess and stabilise a medical emergency and determine whether it is necessary to call an ambulance. They also offer support and guidance to residents, aiding them in preparations required for a safe and efficient transfer to a hospital if it is deemed necessary.
Within the confines of gated communities, Groenkloof provides secure and modern Care Units and Assisted Living Apartments. These well-designed facilities are tailored to meet the unique needs of the elderly, offering both convenience and comfort.
To cater to the healthcare needs of our residents, we offer clinic services at designated times throughout the week.
An on-site Rehabilitation and Sub-acute care hospital offers comprehensive care to patients requiring intensive rehabilitation after injury, illness, or surgery. The hospital aims to help patients regain their strength, mobility, and independence and prepare them for their return home.
